Our customers have found that casseroles and rice dishes are complimented by our special flavor. I began making this sauce at home for my family and friends. After receiving many requests for my sauce , we began having it professionally bottled here in North Carolina. That was 3 years ago. Now we are considering expanding our offerings. Swamp Sauce Smokers began competing on the competition barbecue circuit in 2004. The team leader is Tim Pattan. Others who help out are his wife, Julia, his three daughters, Bethany, Natalie, Rachel, and his parents, Bill and Sybil.The team has participated in 18 KCBS competitions and has had 12 Top 10 finishes, which include 8 Top 5 finishes. Out of the Top 5 finishes, we had three 3rd place finishes, two Reserve Grand Champion, and one Grand Champion.
